During the year Mr Ade Adeshina the Chief Executive of O”-Bay Community Trust was honoured by the Prime Minister for his selfless work in the community.
Ade Adeshina, 44, joined 70 "local heroes" from across the country at 10 Downing Street for a reception hosted by Gordon Brown and his wife, Sarah.
He was invited by Labour MP for Edmonton, Andy Love, for his work as Chief Executive and co-founder of O"-Bay Community Trust.
Mr Adeshina said he was "so surprised and pleased” for the Prime Minister to have acknowledged the contribution we has made to the community.
He also said that "It was a great pleasure to meet the Prime Minister”. The Prime Minister on his part expressed his appreciation of the activities of the Trust as one of those organisations that work quietly behind the scenes but makes great impact in the welfare of people in the community.
